The FAMILY BUSINESS SIG is composed of Business Owners & Founders, C-Suite Executives, Senior Managers, CFOs, and other key professionals, whose primary focus and business practice is to manage and help grow closely held, non-publicly traded, family-owned and operated companies, while improving efficiencies and building enterprise value.

We endeavor to have monthly Networking and Educational Meetings with subject matter expert guest speakers and interactive sessions for shared best practices. All meetings cover topics and practices of particular interest to privately held, family-owned, business owners and their senior executives and managers, who fit the FENG membership and Family Business SIG profile.

Meeting themes will include:
- Governing and advisory boards, including family councils, board charters, by-laws for family managed companies,
- Value Acceleration strategies to build Enterprise Value,
- Leadership Development,
- Generational transitions, Buy-Sell agreements, Funding family ownership succession,
- Financial and Operational Tools for efficiency and effectiveness,
- Legal, taxation, reporting, compliance, and legislative issues,
- Qualified and non-qualified benefit plans (ESOPs, RSUs, NQSOs, 401Ks, NQDC),
- Human resource management and onboarding/terminating family members,
- Exit Planning – Process, Best Practices & Trends.

Our goal is to help Business Owners, key executives, and other professionals acquire the knowledge, experience, and skill-sets necessary to help closely held companies achieve best-in-class status resulting in increased enterprise value.
